Here are the news of the winter season 2019/20

Monday, November 11, Valbianca SA presented to the public the upcoming winter season 2019/20 and the various news.

Three different season passes
Starting this winter Valbianca SA offers its customers the opportunity to choose the most suitable season ticket for them:

  • Ski Card Leventina: for skiing in all the six stations of Leventina
  • Schneepass: the season ticket for Central Switzerland that gives access to more than 500 km of ski slopes
  • Snowpass: the European season ticket that allows you to ski in more than 100 locations in 11 European countries

New slopes
Thanks to the safety work carried out during the summer, Valbianca will propose this season two new slopes, one in Pesciüm and one in Ravina, which will be officially inaugurated on February 1, 2020.
At the opening, the new concept for the denomination of the slopes of the Airolo-Pesciüm ski area will also be unveiled.

e-Guma platform
The e-Guma platform is an online voucher shop that will allow you to buy gift vouchers quickly and easily and print them directly from home. Thanks to this platform you can be inspired by our proposals to offer your loved ones an unforgettable experience on the snow.

Optimisation of the programmed snow plant in Pesciüm
With the aim of improving the service to all skiers and snowboarders, Valbianca SA has made new changes to the snowmaking system for the Pesciüm area. This is a further step towards future investments to complete the snow production system.

New management of gastronomy
The biggest novelty of the winter of 19/20 concerns the gastronomy, which will now be managed by Valbianca Gastro Sagl, in reorganized spaces and in a new guise, in particular the restaurant in Pesciüm. The latter, unlike the past seasons, will be open throughout the winter season. In Pesciüm there will also be a new terrace, to allow customers to take advantage of the sunny days.

Events and promotions
Several events will take place also this year on the Airolo-Pesciüm ski area. Starting with the sporting events, we would like to mention in particular the Migros and Famigros Grand Prix races, the European Freestyle Cup, the Stralünèda and the Swiss Disabled Championships. As for the celebrations, note for example the Snowboard World Day in December, the World Snow Day scheduled for January 19, or the Father's Day, with homage to all fathers who will accompany their children on the slopes of Airolo.
There will also be a rich program for the Après-Ski, with DJs, live music and snacks for children at the Chièuna.
The ATC courses, days for beginners and advanced dedicated to safety in the mountains, the excursions in FatBike, and the Schnuppertage, the event for disabled children, will also be back.
Eventually, the programme will be full of promotions: from the ski-HCAP package, to the grandfather-nephew Wednesday afternoons, passing through the winter Pesciüm package, and many other ideas.
