Alpine Tech Heroes: Discover careers in the cable car industry
Are you fascinated by the world of cable cars and curious about what goes on behind the complex mechanical systems that transport thousands of people to our mountaintops each season?
On 23 March 2026, we're taking part in the nationwide "Alpine Tech Heroes" campaign, organised by Funivie Svizzere, opening the doors of our resort to young people aged 13 and over who are interested in apprenticeships in the cable car industry.
During this year's "Call of Heroes" information day, participants will have the opportunity to experience the diverse world of cable cars first-hand, guided by our specialists who do this work every day. They'll learn about careers as a Ropeway Mechatronics Technician (Federal VET Diploma, 4 years) and Ropeway Systems Operator (Federal VET Certificate, 2 years), and discover whether this could be the right path for their professional future.
Young visitors can look forward to a day full of discovery: from mechanics to electronics, from control and safety systems to facility monitoring. They'll see for themselves what it takes to ensure the safe operation of the cable cars that carry thousands of people up to Sasso della Boggia every year.
