Extension of TILO S50/S10 to Airolo

This winter, reaching Airolo from the Sottoceneri area and from northern Italy will be even easier thanks to the extension of two TILO S10/S50 services to Airolo.

The connection, available on weekends and public holidays, allows you to travel without changing trains — even with skis and equipment.

Once you arrive at Airolo station, your journey continues just as comfortably thanks to the new “Airolo, Caseificio/Funivia” stop on bus line 120: located just a few steps from the cable car departure point, it ensures the smoothest transfer ever between train, bus, and lifts.

Indicative timetable

• Arrival in Airolo around 09:30, perfect for starting your day on the slopes.
• Departure from Airolo around 16:30, so you can ski until closing time and return home comfortably in the evening.

The service operates on weekends and public holidays, with:

• one direct morning trip to Airolo, ideal for reaching the slopes by mid-morning;
• one direct afternoon trip for the return journey, arriving in Como / Mendrisio / Malpensa by early evening.
