MTB Kids Course – Bike Park (Intermediate level) 2026

 Do your children love mountain biking? And would you like them to improve their technique to tackle bike park trails safely?

The third course in our MTB Kids series is designed to help children aged 8 to 15 improve their riding and downhill skills. In collaboration with the enduro experts from RideAlps.ch GmbH, on Thursday, 23 July 2026, from 12:45 to 17:15, we are offering an afternoon at the Airolo Bike Park dedicated to practical exercises, core techniques and fun games to gain greater confidence and control in the saddle.

The intermediate course takes place across two independent dates: 16 July and 23 July. It is possible to attend just one day or both.

Registration must be completed by 21 July 2026 using the form provided.

Price per participant (per day): CHF 79, which includes:

  • Instruction by J+S (Youth+Sports) instructors / MTB enduro experts
  • 1 cable car ascent with MTB

Discounts (not cumulative):

  • 10% off the course price for Airolo MTB season pass holders
  • CHF 20 for TCS members

MTB Kids Course Programme

Date: Thursday, 23 July 2026, 12:45–17:15

Meeting point: At the cable car bottom station, in front of Bar La Chièuna

Registration: By 21 July 2026

Programme

  • Bike set-up
  • Correct basic body position
  • Riding technique, enduro basics
  • Cornering in formation, with correct centre of gravity
  • Re-accelerating using gears
  • Harnessing gravity (pumping exercises: dynamic pushing with arms and legs)

Useful Information

  • Required level: Intermediate. Participants must be self-sufficient when riding downhill on trails and in the bike park.
  • Equipment: Each participant requires an MTB, helmet, gloves and optional knee pads/back protector.
    --> Protective gear can be rented at the shop at the cable car bottom station.
  • Number of participants: Minimum 5* / Maximum 13
    N.B: If the minimum of 5 participants is not reached, the course will not take place. Confirmation will be sent to registered participants 2 days before the start of the course.
