Stralünèda 2023 - Final Standings
Saturday saw the 2023 edition of the Stralünèda, a popular ski mountaineering race with participants from all over Ticino. The race took place on a clear evening and covered a distance of 6 kilometres with a total ascent of 900 metres for the 'elite' category on the Nante - Pesciüm - Comascnè route, while for the 'popular' category, the Nante - Pesciüm route was 4 km with a total ascent of 600 metres.
Some 30 participants set off at a fast pace, eager to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. The challenging terrain and the fading evening light added an extra level of difficulty to the race. The skiers had to traverse trails, steep slopes and technical descents, trying to maintain their rhythm and stamina. Despite the fatigue, the competitors gave it their all! The sound of skis cutting through the snow and the sight of headlamps rising and falling in the distance made the experience unforgettable.
Once the last competitor had crossed the finish line, it was time for the prize-giving ceremony: the restaurant La Sala in Pesciüm was full of smiling faces as the top finishers were rewarded by the various sponsors, and after the prize-giving ceremony, it was time for the participants to relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner. At the Sala, everyone gathered to share stories of the race and enjoy a hot meal, with a choice of pasta e pom and fondue. The dinner was a celebration of the hard work and determination of all participants and an opportunity to come together as a community.
See you in 2024!
