Summer kicks off on June 19th in Airolo-Pesciüm!
We’re ready to launch the 2025 summer season with a day entirely dedicated to mountain biking: on Thursday, June 19, we look forward to welcoming you to the Airolo Bike Opening, the event that marks the beginning of our summer in Airolo-Pesciüm.
It will also be the perfect occasion to discover two new features: our brand-new pump track at the cable car base station, ideal for improving your MTB's skills while having fun, and the TCS SOS Bike station, for quick emergency repairs.
But the fun doesn’t stop in June: our summer will continue until September 28, with a calendar full of experiences for everyone. The popular MTB Kids Courses return on July 16, 23, and 30, perfect for helping young riders get started safely and playfully. And on August 8–9, we’re proud to host the Ticino stage of the Swiss Enduro Series, which this year will also serve as the Swiss Enduro Championships – two unmissable days for biking enthusiasts.
If hiking or simply enjoying the mountains is more your thing, you’ll find panoramic trails, relaxation areas, and our scenic swing at Sasso della Boggia, overlooking the Gotthard Massif. On July 20, don’t miss the “Giornata con l’Alpigiano”, a chance to experience alpine life up close, meet local farmers, and taste genuine traditional products.
For a refreshing break between rides or after a hike, we’ll be happy to welcome you to the La Chièuna bar, at the base of the cable car, serving tasty snacks and sandwiches, or at La Stüa restaurant in Pesciüm, where typical Ticinese dishes come with stunning mountain views. And for the full experience, try the Pesciüm Package (round-trip cable car + lunch starting from CHF 28), perfect for a day of nature and flavour.
In short, we’re all set to enjoy another summer full of adrenaline, discovery, and pure relaxation in the heart of nature – and we can’t wait to welcome you!
On Thursday, June 19, from 9:00 to 17:00, bikers can enjoy a special CHF 25 MTB day pass and discover the trails of the Airolo Bike Park. Thanks to the Bike Test Merida, visitors can try out over 20 bikes for free, while RideAlps guideswill lead guided tours along the most scenic trails, offering technical tips and breathtaking views.
