Summer season 2026 kicks off on 20 June!
Summer in Airolo is lived in the saddle, on the trails and in the open air. This season's programme also includes two major national events making their first stop here: the Coop Family Hike and Migros Hiking Sounds.
The summer season 2026 officially gets underway on Saturday 20 June with the second edition of the Airolo Bike Opening, a full day dedicated to life on two wheels. Come and try out Merida and RideUp bikes for free, join guided tours with RideAlps, and explore the local trails alongside Enduro rider and Airolo ambassador Claudia Grassi, who knows these tracks better than anyone. To top it off, you can grab a mountain bike day pass for just CHF 25.
The lifts will be open on 20–21 June, 27–29 June, and then daily from 4 July until 13 September 2026.
If you are planning to spend your summer in the saddle, it’s also the perfect time to pick up an Airolo MTB season pass. Plus, with every purchase, you’ll get a complimentary official Airolo Bike Park cap.
Three major events are lined up for this season: On 11 July, the Coop Family Hike comes to Airolo for the very first time. It’s a fantastic day out for families, blending fun, nature, and local exploration into a theatrical hike where you’ll hunt for the ingredients of a mysterious magic potion.
On 29 and 30 August, the Swiss Enduro Series returns to Airolo for the fifth consecutive year. As a highlight of the mountain biking calendar, the event will once again bring some of the discipline’s top riders to the Airolo Bike Park trails.
Wrapping up the season is the Migros Hiking Sounds festival on 12 and 13 September. For the first time, Airolo will host Ticino’s only stop of the tour, featuring top-tier artists like 77 Bombay Street, Lo & Leduc, and Luca Hänni. It promises to be a unique mountain experience combining live music, hiking, and the great outdoors.
The Airolo Bike Park remains a cornerstone of our summer line-up. For younger riders, our MTB Kids courses are back, offering a safe, fun, and exciting way to get into mountain biking and sharpen their skills in the fresh mountain air.
Whether you need a refreshing break between downhill runs or want to unwind after a long hike, we look forward to welcoming you. Stop by La Chièuna bar at the cable car base station for tasty snacks and sandwiches, or, starting from 4 July, head up to La Stüa restaurant in Pesciüm to enjoy traditional Ticino dishes alongside stunning mountain views.
We are fully geared up for another summer packed with adrenaline, discovery, and pure relaxation in the heart of nature.
It all starts on 20 June. We can’t wait to see you there!
